Kid Kapichi & Bob Vylan – New England

Protest songs don’t get more powerful than this state-of-the-nation report – its finger firmly on the xenophobic pulse of post-Brexit Britain.
It’s a collaboration between Hastings band Kid Kapichi and London’s own Bob Vylan – artists with a shared determination to challenge the rising tide of xenophobia masquerading as patriotism.

And to rouse the population from a fog of complacency, indifference and apathy – and inspire them to rise up and vote out the Old Etonian cabal running the shitshow.

“New England is a song that targets the blindly patriotic, grabs them by the shoulders, shakes them and shouts ‘wake up’,” says Jack Wilson, lead singer and guitarist of Kid Kapichi.

“We’re living in scary times where the top of society have found a way to turn the working class against themselves. We become more confident in our xenophobia as it’s only reinforced by our government on a daily basis”.

In a just world this song would be No.1. And it would stay there until the Tories were kicked out of office.
