Bicep – Chroma 004 Rola

In the olden days bands used to “pay their dues” by gigging constantly in tiny fleapits around the country, slowly building up a following. Bicep did it the 21st century way – making their names first as bloggers.

It was only after that the Belfast dance duo went out on tour, promoting what would become a series of successful club hits, and formed their own label named after the blog – Feel My Bicep.

Childhood friends Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar have honed their talent for blending the elements of dance miusic – garage, house, techno, disco, breakbeat, and several other genres – into euphoric, club-tooled anthems.

Now they have a new project called Chroma, combining a series of curated events, a record label and an ever-evolving live show, with a new visual identity created with David Rudnick and his Terrain studio.

Darker and heavier than their usual tunes, Rola was the project’s mission statement when the pair opened the new Drumsheds venue in the old IKEA store in Tottenham, and was also aired at Coachella.
