We all need an invigorating dose of primal rage every now and then… don’t we? Coach Party certainly do – and enjoy letting it out. 

Coach Party come from the Isle of Wight, like last year’s sensation Wet Leg, and are made up of two girls (Jess and Steph) and two guys (Joe and Guy). 

They’ve been “one to watch” (or maybe ones​ to watch) for about three years now but I’ve only just started watching them with the arrival of this song.

Had I found them at the beginning (2020) I would have heard their debut EP Party Food and known early songs like Space, Puke and Breakdown.

Or the next one, After Party, with teenagerish titles like I’m Sad, Really OK On My Own and Crying Makes Me Tired.

Not forgetting their rocktastic metal version of McCartney’s annoying festive song Wonderful Christmastime. 

Last year came their third EP, Nothing Is Real, with songs like Shit TV and a couple of ferocious feminist anthems in FLAG (Feel Like A Girl) and Micro Aggression.

Anyway, I’m catching up now – and so can you – with their new single All I Wanna Do Is Hate. And while they may be angry, they look like they’re having a lot of fun in the video.
