Not sure if the term Aussie’n’Western is a thing, but if it is then The Paper Kites are a prime example.

Australia, like Ireland, has always had an affinity for country music. Probably because so many Aussies have Irish roots.

This gentle slice of Americana comes from The Paper Kites, who I’ve never come across before, though I should have.

They’ve collected more than a billion streams since forming in Melbourne in 2010 and sold out a UK and European tour earlier this year.
